PLEASE NOTE: To guarantee timely Customs clearance, Akademiks.com will not ship orders greater than 15 total items or $1,000 U.S. dollars. If you place an order greater than 15 items, or over $1,000 USD, a customer service representative will contact you via email to determine which items you’d like to cancel from your order.
We’ve partnered with Federal Express for delivery to France within 3 to 5 business days from the time your order leaves our warehouse. When your order ships, Akademiks.com will email you with your tracking number so you can track your order’s progress to its final destination.

Tax and Duty Charges
France Customs Law requires that all applicable duties and taxes must be paid for shipments entering France. When ordering with Akademiks.com, you agree to pay the duties and taxes charged at the time of delivery. Customs duty and Value-Added Tax (VAT) will be payable, as follows:
- Customs duty – Typically 12-20% of product price (based on product characteristics)
- Import VAT – Currently 17.5% of the total order cost (including shipping cost)
- Advancement Fees – FedEx fee for processing of duties/fees (currently $8.00 USD)
Due to our broad selection of clothing, footwear, and accessories, it is difficult to estimate an exact figure for duty costs. Remember that all prices on the site are in U.S. dollars.

Payment Options
The following payment options are available to customers in France: credit card and debit card.
Credit Card and Debit Card: We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards. Debit cards are also accepted as long as they have a Visa or MasterCard logo. Shoppers using a credit or debit card can order here at the website or over the phone. Orders will only be shipped to the cardholder’s verified billing address.
